We’re starting to see more and more people getting their hands on the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8, so for those of you looking for some help in rooting your device, XDA Recognized Developer dr.ketan has made a simple step-by-step guide for you. This guide will walk you through how to gain root access to the device using SuperSU. The developer also promises to provide an EFS backup tool so you can save the important data in this partition.
Once your device is rooted, you open up the device to some interesting modifications such as flashing the popular audio mod called Viper4Android. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 4A in India back in March, a budget-friendly smartphone that comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. If that’s not enough for you, you’ll be happy to hear that Xiaomi has now announced an upgraded version of the device in the country, which offers 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The rest of the specs remain the same.

The upgraded Redmi 4A will be available starting tomorrow, August 31, from Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, and Tata CliQ. To get it, you’ll have to dish out Rs. 6,999, which is Rs. 1,000 more when compared to the old version of the device.

The Redmi 4A won’t be much different when it comes to specs but is still a solid smartphone with an affordable price tag. It comes with a 5-inch display with HD resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon 425 chipset. You’ll find a 13 MP camera on the back with an f/2.2 aperture, while the front-facing selfie snapper sports a 5 MP sensor.

The smartphone packs a 3,120 mAh battery, supports expandable storage, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top.

Amazon has already listed the smartphone on its website, where you can sign up to get notified as soon as it becomes available. You can do that via the button below.
